Neighborhood Programs

Work closely with the Neighborhood Program Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of neighborhood events.

Duties and Responsibilities
General
- Attend weekly neighborhood programs intern meetings
- Attend neighborhood council meetings two times a month
- Serve as backup to neighborhood communications intern
Neighborhood Events
- Assist with on-site event set up, logistical support, and clean up for ~24 neighborhood events a year (12-15 bi-weekly programs, 3 quarterly programs, 5 Big Five programs, 1 all-campus program per neighborhood)
- Address equipment and technology needs
- Prepare and organize materials
- Greet attendees and answer questions
- Support event activities (e.g., operating popcorn machine, distributing t-shirts)
Administrative Support
- Research vendors and communicate with points of contact
- Review and update shared documents and spreadsheets
- Manage email correspondence at each stage of the neighborhood program proposal process
- Other assignments as requested by the Neighborhood Program Coordinator

Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work up to 6 hours per week according to University policy on limitations on hours of employment for undergraduate students (see Admin Guide Memo 10.1.1 Undergraduate Student Employment: “Hours Per Week”)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Creativity and adaptability
