Residential Education is seeking an undergraduate or co-term student to assist the professional staff who coordinate services and resources to help students navigate their journey at Stanford. Students in this role will advance the core neighborhood principles: diversity, equity, and inclusion; health and well-being; community and belonging; and intellectual and personal growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

General

  • Attend biweekly check-in meetings with Associate Director and/or Associate Dean of Student Support
  • Attend biweekly Student Support team meetings

Administrative Support

  • Conduct a thorough review of Student Support Guides for the purposes of making grammatical edits, creating/inserting graphics to describe processes, revising for clarity/information flow, and implementing timely updates as required
  • Assist with logistical plans for training and onboarding

Program Assessment

  • Work with the Associate Dean for Student Support to provide insight and feedback on Student Support practices as it relates to alignment with the lived experience of undergraduates in residence.
  • Provide student feedback on student support-related functions 
  • Collaborate with Resident Directors and Neighborhood Program Directors to obtain feedback on policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work up to 6 hours per week according to University policy on limitations on hours of employment for undergraduate students (see Admin Guide Memo 10.1.1 Undergraduate Student Employment: “Hours Per Week”)
  • Must hold a housing assignment in undergraduate housing and have the ability to offer student-driven perspectives and insights
  • Commitment to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and student data
  • Commitment to upholding Stanford policies and completing designated trainings upon appointment

Commitment

  • Autumn, winter, and spring quarter (September 23, 2024 - June 13, 2025)

Compensation

  • $18.50-$20/hour based on quarters of experience
