Support the general, day-to-day administrative, operational and clerical tasks related to the department’s Central Office. Administration interns work closely with the department Program Coordinator to ensure that our constituents and campus partners experience courteous and informed engagement during their visit.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Attend biweekly check-in meetings with the department Program Coordinator
  • Attend and participate in training sessions throughout the academic year

Office support

  • Provide a professional, helpful, and welcoming atmosphere for faculty, staff, students and visitors to the Residential Education Central Office
  • Provide coverage for the front desk including answering phones, transferring calls, and taking messages

Administrative support

  • Assist with projects as required (e.g., prepare materials for distribution, create spreadsheets, event set-up, coordinate office deliveries, etc.)
  • Other assignments as requested by the  department Program Coordinator

  • Must be eligible to work up to 10 hours per week according to University policy on limitations on hours of employment for undergraduate students (see Admin Guide Memo 10.1.1 Undergraduate Student Employment: “Hours Per Week”)
  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information and student data
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
