Kappa Alpha (KA) is a fraternity house that is located at 664 Lomita Ct.
The house set up has 20 doubles, 4 singles, and 4 triples. All the rooms except the four singles are two rooms that share a door to the hallway, except for a one room double downstairs. The House Manager and RA get the two singles and all other managers get an extra housing point to be put towards the in-house draw. The house has two stories and is situated with 6 pods, 3 pods per floor and 4 rooms per pod. Each pod shares a bathroom and there is a spacious lounge area, as well as a downstairs open kitchen.
The kitchen is filled with snacks twice a week and there is an amazing chef that cooks lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. There is breakfast food, but it is not prepared by the chef.
The social events that the house has are typically 2 all-campus parties, 1 formal, and 3 or 4 progressives with sororities per quarter. The general atmosphere is very laid-back and social. Residents often walk around and hang out in other residents’ rooms
Information regarding mail and package delivery: Students living in Row Houses (Upper Row, Lower Row, Clusters 1, 2, or 3/Cowell) are strongly encouraged to follow the directions for the mail and package process provided on the Mail Delivery and Shipping page, as the PO Box address is each student’s official Stanford address and should be maintained during their entire undergraduate career. However, Row residents are also able to have mail packages delivered directly to their Row house by addressing mail and packages to the house's street address. Please be reminded that Student Housing/the University accepts no responsibility for packages sent to/delivered at individual residences.
Note: The incoming residents select their room through the in-house draw and sign a supplemental housing agreement.
