These trees have beautiful yellow leaves and there are a bunch already planted between Crothers and Green Library. |

The olive tree originated in Asia Minor where it is extremely abundant and grows in thick forests. Olive trees are associated with wisdom and laurels, and symbols of peace. |

These trees signify wellness, safety, longevity, wisdom, and communication. |

Symbolic of high status, nobility, perseverance, and dignity, these trees are often a symbol of strength and magnificence because of their towering stature and abundant blooms. |
Thanks to the 30% of undergraduates who participated in the voting process, and especially the student neighborhood council members who also represented their houses in the neighborhood councils’ efforts to facilitate the process.
Now that we have our neighborhood name, the neighborhood councils will be working with students and campus partners to design new neighborhood swag and plan a commemorative event to mark this special occasion!
