Robert Moore North is home to the Well House, a substance-free undergraduate residential community and experience based on the theme of wellness. Our house provides an environment for students to learn and practice holistic approaches to physical, mental, and emotional health. The values of the substance-free community are connection, equity, belonging, authenticity, and vulnerability and humility.

Resident Fellows

Ryelee and Noel both come to Stanford with a background in health promotion, addiction recovery, and mental health.
Ryelee Vest currently works as a program coordinator for the National Institute of Drug Abuse Clinical Trials Network through Stanford’s Western States Node. She has worked extensively on issues relating to trauma, substance use, and suicide prevention among college students.
Dr. Noel Vest is a postdoc in the Systems Neuroscience and Pain Lab where he studies issues relating to addiction science. Noel also identifies as a person in long-term recovery substance use disorder. He has been involved in the recovery program, Cardinal Recovery, since its inception in 2020. The couple has been married since 2016 and they are both products of Washington State University in Pullman, WA.
