Neighborhood S Newsletter - Week 2
It was so nice to see so many of you out at our neighborhood barbecues last week! From the student DJs to the It-It’s ice cream sandwiches, they were a great way to kick off the year. We’re looking forward to having many more opportunities to gather as a neighborhood this quarter.
Upcoming Neighborhood Events
Next week, we will be hosting our third neighborhood event of the year!
Neighborhood S Build A Buddy-oke
Wednesday, October 12, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Wilbur Field
It’s a double-header! Build-a-bear before sunset, sing some karaoke after sunset, enjoy some dessert!
Opportunities
Program Funding
Have an idea for a fun activity you’d like to do with the other frosh in your neighborhood? Looking to gather the Row houses in your neighborhood for a picnic? Our council has funding for that! Please consult with your Resident Fellows, RAs and ETAs, or student council reps (once they’re identified!), and they can assist you in submitting a funding request. The first review of requests will happen at our first council meeting next week!
Neighborhood Council Student Reps
We still have a few openings for neighborhood council student reps! If you are interested in putting on super sweet events for your neighborhood, and helping make decisions about how the council allocates funds and what the neighborhood tree should be, this is the opportunity! Each house in the neighborhood will have one representative. This is a volunteer position. Please let your Resident Fellows, RAs and ETAs know if you’re interested in serving as the rep for your house!
