Soto is located on the east side of campus, in the community of houses known together as Wilbur Hall. Many in-dorm activities and “off-the-farm” events are planned throughout the year for both intellectual and recreational purposes.

Meet the Soto Resident Fellow

Resident Fellows, or RFs, are Stanford faculty and senior administrative staff who live in apartments or cottages adjacent to student residences and serve as leaders for their communities. Jennifer Randall Crosby, Ph.D., has been the Psych One Coordinator at Stanford since 2017.

In Jennifer's capacity as a Psych One Coordinator, she works with an amazing group of faculty members to design and deliver Stanford's introductory psychology course and also recruits, trains, and mentors Psych One's wonderful graduate and undergraduate Teaching Fellows. Jennifer loves sharing her passion for psychology with introductory students and her commitment to inclusive and effective teaching with Teaching Fellows. Prior to joining Psych One, Jennifer was the Director of Faculty and Lecturer Programs at Stanford's Center for Teaching and Learning, and previously was a faculty member at Williams College and Agnes Scott College.

Jennifer is a proud double Stanford alumna, earning her BA and PhD here. As an undergraduate, Jennifer was an RA in West Lag and worked at Bing Nursery School and the Disability Resource Center (the precursor to OAE). Jennifer is thrilled to be the RF in Soto, where she was a frosh many moons ago. She looks forward to working with the Soto staff to create a community where people feel known and welcomed for their full selves, able to share their identities and values as well as their challenges and concerns.

Jennifer has three grown-ish sons who share her love of good food and bad puns. When not describing cool psychology findings, she can be found running with Kaylee the wonder dog, reading, hiking, or enjoying theater.
