Robinson House is located in Sterling Quad, where residents enjoy a vibrant and engaging community thanks to ongoing dorm activities and attentive RA staff. Outside of special events in the dorm, students enjoy eating the wonderful meals prepared in Ricker Dining, watching TV on our 60” flat screen, shooting pool, or playing ping pong in our recently updated lounge. The house also has two comfortable balconies that can be used for small gatherings or quiet time outside.
Meet the Robinson Resident Fellows
Resident Fellows, or RFs, are Stanford faculty and senior administrative staff who live in apartments or cottages adjacent to student residences and serve as leaders for their communities. Jenny is an Associate Professor of Education at Stanford’s GSE and Dave is a Produce Broker for CDS Distributing, a produce distribution company based in South San Francisco where he has worked since 2011.
Jenny's research focuses on collaborative learning and identity development in mathematics classrooms. She was raised in Miami’s bilingual Cuban-American community until she left for college as an undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon University. She then moved to California to get her PhD at UC Berkeley and ultimately landed here at Stanford!
Dave was born in Venezuela and first moved to the U.S. in 1978, originally living in Albany and then eventually having stops all over the Bay Area, eventually finishing High School in Sonoma. He earned his Bachelor degree in Spanish at UC Davis, and a Master’s in Business Administration for St. Mary’s College. Dave played Rugby at UC Davis and was part of the team that went to the National Championship in 1997. An avid sports fan, Dave has been involved coaching baseball, basketball, soccer and flag football for his sons' teams throughout the years.
