Assist the professional staff who oversee key operations functions and processes, including: Pre-Assignment, housing exemptions, room assignments, frosh housing assignments, neighborhood equipment and space management, and project support.

Duties and Responsibilities

General

  • Assist with administrative duties for selected ResEd processes
  • Manage large sets of data through spreadsheets and ensure accurate management/reporting
  • Attend and participate in regular planning meetings

Pre-Assignment

  • Assist with Pre-Assignment application management, from the application submission phase to selection/placement

Exemptions and Room Assignments

  • Assist with accurate data management/reporting for ResEd constituent groups and their housing assignments

Frosh Housing Assignments

  • Assist with formalizing guiding principles for frosh housing assignments, in collaboration with neighborhood professional staff
  • Assist with data sorting and review for frosh housing assignments
  • Manage large sets of data to ensure accurate reporting and assignments by professional staff 

Project Support

  • Assist with various operations projects, as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work up to 6 hours per week according to University policy on limitations on hours of employment for undergraduate students (see Admin Guide Memo 10.1.1 Undergraduate Student Employment: “Hours Per Week”)
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and student data
  • Commitment to uphold Stanford policies and complete designated trainings upon appointment
  • Knowledge of data management and manipulation; experience with Google Sheets and Excel a plus
  • Ability to work independently and on timelines
  • Strong attention to detail
